Registry Fix Review – Is Reg Fix A Scam? Find Out Here

Registry Fix or Reg Fix is a registry repair program that has been out for several years now. The software has gained some popularity and it prompted me to review it myself. I tested it against some of the other registry cleaners, and here are my thoughts. The most important aspect of a registry cleaner is its ability to detect and repair registry errors. With our test computer in place, we found it was only able to identity 34% of registry errors. This is a very poor percentage. Specifically it did not perform well in repairing Kernel and Runtime errors. These are very important registry errors to fix in order to properly maintain the integrity of a system.

The second most important feature of a registry cleaner is its ability to speed up computer performance. Whether it be startup, shut down, or general sluggishness, the best registry cleaners can do wonders to make your computer run faster. In this aspect we found Reg Fix to perform below average. I believe because it did not repair most registry errors it was not able to speed up the computer considerably.

Registry Fix also lacks many of the additional features we have seen in other registry cleaners. Its ability to automate and optimize the computer leaves a lot to be desired. At this time I cannot recommend using Registry Fix. It simply does not perform at a level similar to the better registry repair software. If you are interested, I have composed a review of what I consider the best registry cleaner on the market. This is a program that blew Reg Fix away in its ability to repair windows errors and speed up the computer. For more information and a free scan, click below.

Is 'SpywareRemover' a scam, or at least is it lying about spyware/regestry issues it found?
Up until very recently i was using Kaspersky anti-virus, which i trust, it is rated as the best in all the magazines i read, and on many websites. Kaspersy has built in spyware/addware, and registry stuff, so i just let it handle it. about a week ago my licence for Kaspersky ran out, and i decided to try Anvir, a free anti-virus. i have seen a lot of good reviews, and it is a lot less processor intensive, but it does not include spyware protectioin (it might, but i did not see it mentioned).
i saw a link on a yahoo question to a supposedly FREE spyware remover, which actually only lets you scan unless you register – which cost $19.95, plus they recommend 2 extra features for $9.95 each, making a total of $39.85.
    here is a link

the scan brings up the same result each time i do it, even after i have used other – actually free spyware and registy fixers and they found and deleted problems

It finds them because it’s probably putting them there so you will buy it.There are too many good, free anti-spyware applications out there.Save yourself some money, and use the free ones.

Yes, it is a bogus program.
Go to the Site Advisor page and read the reviews for it:

If you want to know the *real* state of your computer, run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Superantispyware:
    > Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html
    > Superantispyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/

The above programs really are free, they remove what they find, no tricks, no strings.

Edit: The person who posted the SpywareRemover link made 75% of what you paid (*). That’s illegal here on Yahoo! Answers. It’s called "Exploiting the Yahoo Community." (**)

If you give the link to the Q and A where you got the SpywareRemover link, we can report the person who posted it.
