How can I make my computer faster on startup?

December 27th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

Hi, my computer is incredibly slow on startup, I don’t know what to do anymore. There are not too many apps, I have no viruses, 50% free memory, I use Registry Easy and CCleaner daily but my computer still takes about 30 minutes after I open my session until it is ready to operate. Does someone know how to speed it up without adding RAM or Formatting my PC?

There are lots of problems which make your pc slow.
Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!
Spyware/Adware
RAM
De-Fragmenting
Etc.

Below can help you speed up your pc:

I. De-Fragmenting
1. Right click of C Disk.
2. Click properties.
3. Click tools tab.
4. Click "Defragment now".
5. Click Defragment.

II. You can search which process full use you cpu, and end the process.
Under steps:
1. Right click on the TaskBar.
2. Click the Task Manager.
3. Click the processes tab.
4. Double click the CPU.
5. Fnd if the "System Idle Process" is max.
6. If not right click and click end process.

III. Manage your startups. Your excess CPU usage is due to too many programs running in the background. You can cut these to barebones by alter your msconfig. Here is how:
1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen type "msconfig.exe"
4. In the "system configuration utility",click either "service" or "startup" tab
5. Uncheck all programs that your are no longer using.
6. Click "OK"

You can edit your System Startup folder – most of the time all of this stuff is unnecessary junk anyways.

Go to Start –> Run, then type in ‘msconfig’

Click on the "Startup" tab in the window that appears, then uncheck whatever you don’t think you need, with the following exceptions (if you see them):

    jusched
    ctfmon

and anything that looks like your Anti-Virus or Sound card.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

Type start, run, msconfig and see what is being loaded at startup.

Using that prog you can enable and disable the startup programs.

I would also boot into safe mode and see how long that takes to boot up.

If that takes more than about a minute or two then it looks like you have a severe problem with either the software or hardware that will require further investigation.

    You can try Defragmenting it.
    go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragment

Or System Restore to a better time on your pc.
    go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

Hi, go here http://www.glarysoft.com/ and download the free one at the top of the page.
When you have installed it go to:
    Optimize and improve…then
    Start up.
You can look at all your Start up programs and get a report on them by selecting and then right clicking on them.

Basically you will get informed information about whether you can stop the program at Start up safely or not.
