I have all 3 on my pc…and there lightweight programs…not system hogs…….and they all do a fantastic job of making sure the registry is clean and cleared of errors…….each utility has a backup and restore just in case something gets deleted that was not supposed to……..I have used these for 4 months….never had to restore yet…………good programs

A the registry is a database where program settings are stored. dont’t bother with the registry cleaner junk. It just screws up your computer and if it works it wont speed up your computer unless its really old.

the registry is the core settings file that your computer uses. It’s the one file that every program on the computer knows where it is, so every program can access it. In addition to storing all of your system settings (desktop background, theme, and so on), it stores what programs to use when you double click on files, and it stores information about every program you have installed.

Because it’s so big however, it has the tendency to get corrupted. Also some times uninstallers don’t completely remove all traces of the program from the registry. That’s where the cleaners come in- they look for and try to repair any problems, or any left-over registry keys that may be filling up your computer.

1). The Windows Registry is a hierarchical database that stores configuration settings and options on Microsoft Windows operating systems.
2). It contains settings for low-level operating system components as well as the applications running on the platform: the kernel, device drivers, services, user interface and third party applications all make use of the Registry.
3). The registry also provides a means to access counters for profiling system performance.
4). You can add/delete/update Registry Settings from Start -> Run -> Type in ‘regsvr32’ and hit enter.
5). DO NOT USE any freely available "Registry Clearner" software, they might contain viruses, and other malicious attach freewares. Instead, use Norton Utilities or similar program.

Registry is very important. And yes, its a junk if no further use. Programs/software/system will not work without registry. But DO NOT change/delete any registry if you do not know how to handle it. You need to clean the "junk" for your computer performance.

do not install/download programs which are not well known to repair/clean your windows registry
    they are usually spam.

if you ever need to clean/repair it, use something like norton utilities from symantec.

    cheers
