My computer system is responding slow and overly poor in checking my registry I find numerous problems that need attention anyone out there have any ideas they certainly would be welcomed.

There is microsoft regclean that is free. I’m not sure what OS your using, but it was design for win2k, I believe, but it seems to work with winxp too

Just keep in mind that automate registry clearer can cause more issues as there could be registry keys that it removes that is needed for something. Most registry clearer keep backups. So, always keep those backups in case of problems.

it took my registrymax utility almost 15 minutes to remove hundreds of the dratted things. is this well known by all? after removing and defragging the registry, things really speeded up.

The TV is 10 yrs old and has no special HD or flat screen or any of that. It’s an RCA, the coaxial is rigged in with some glue, but hasn’t been right since, it gets blurry or lined sometimes and we have to jiggle the cord or whack the top of TV, what would be the approx. cost of a professional repair???

you might just have to replace the female coaxial jack in the back.. on some of the older set its easy to get too take the back off and you see its kinda just screwed on there and they the lil tip is sodered on (yeah i think i spelled that wrong) but any way. its just your jack so if you got the right tools it would just be easier to do it yourself..hell its in older set it worth looking back there to see. before you send it off.. cuz when you send it in your paying for the parts.. which are cheap.. and labor which is not… and most places charge labor by size of the tv.

A Type Library is a software file that describes software interfaces in an operating system, typically Windows. It also describes co-classes, and other resources in a Common Object Model server. A type library file created by Visual Basic will always have a .TLB extension. The .TLB file is required by a client to connect to a server.

A type library can be thought of as a binary version of an IDL (interface Definition Language) file. There is also the type library in the system that is used to display the type or font on the screen and printed document. This type or font library is located in the systems registry. Every time a program calls upon the type library top to display the font, the type library looks up the registry to locate the type that has to be displayed. If the type is not present in the library the page displays the default of the closest matching font for that type.

So What Is The System Registry?

The operating system must have the knowledge as to where to find certain files when the programs call on them for some function. This information was initially stored in the information folder denoted as INF in earlier versions of Windows primarily 95 and 98 first edition. Microsoft introduced the registry in windows 98 Second Edition to speed things up while loading and locating programs. But this can also slow the system down drastically. This Registry is a database used to store settings and options for the 32 bit versions of Microsoft Windows including Windows ME and NT/2000.
