How to fix a "Limited or No connectivity message"?

I keep getting a "Limited or No Connectivity" message for my wireless internet connection. My internet is not working and I have hit the repair connection button. Also I checked my wireless network to make sure I am connected to mine. Anyone have any other suggestions?

If you are receiving this error, you should run the Microsoft patch (KB884020) for it. Follow the instructions below to do this. Alternatively, you can download a zip file with the patch, registry file, and instructions by clicking here.

1) Download the patch from Microsoft’s site
2) Run the update to install it
3) Run this short Registry fix to complete the update. Type the following lines in Notepad and save the file as FixReg.reg on your desktop, then double click on it to install into your registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IPSec]
"AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule"=dword:00000002

4) Reboot your computer

If you experience the error message again, reboot your computer first. In most cases this will solve many connectivity issues that are not associated with this SP2 bug.

    This is one of the most common, yet hardest to fix problems when dealing with wireless networks.
    Pretty much you have to take a lot of different steps to figure out what the problem is.
    1) Remove the connection from your connection manager and reconnect again, ensuring you type in the correct password
    2) Restart your computer and run CMD and type ipconfig /renew
    3) Reset your router either by just unplugging it or doing a factory reset and reconfigure
    4) Test your laptop on another network to make sure drivers are correctly installed and adapter is operational
    5) Try exchanging router. Working as tech in electronic store, I have seen many defective routers. But make that your last option, otherwise you won’t be sure that this is the problem and you will end up with the same thing.

    Hope that helps.

    Try to reneweng the IP address.I’m a tech in a hotel and I have met that kind of problem. It is just the Access point in which the network cable is not being plugged. Yes, we can view the Access Point, but it will display Limited or No connectivity when the network cable is not plugged on your Access point. Try to check the connection.
