repair shop has told me they threw it away. i’ve now moved to QLD, where they have told me that compliance plates cant be reissued. what do i do. I cant drive an unregistered car???

    Wow, I’m a crash repairer and anyone in the trade knows you must never throw away compliance plates, even when damaged.
    Contact the insurance co who payed for the repairs, if no help there then go after the repairer, they have made your car unregisterable.
    they should have gone through the correct channels and had another one issued by DMV.
