reg. repair of dell latitude c640 laptop?

does anyone know how to fix the power input to dell laptop…my laptop is not takin any power from the adaptor or power source…it was working fine before..but had a problem with input connector ..& it use to go on battery power sometimes by itself..but now i can’t turn it on…

Hi. Your battery is probably drained and, without a good connection, will not recharge. If you are comfortable taking the machine apart, look at the solder joints at the power input plug, look at the fit between the jack and plug, look at any breaks in the wiring near the plug, etc. Sometimes the problem will jump out at you.
