If they(licences) are approved, Can I open my shop in shed?
i am in the City Centre Development zoning

You’ll have to check the "zoning laws" in your area.
There are residential and commercial properties.
If your property is not "zoned" for commercial use, it is illegal to operate a business on your property.
Must pass fire safety rules – fire extinguisher every 20 feet (check the laws with your local fire marshal).

You will also need a license to handle hazardous materials.
Gasoline
Oil – replacing a clutch is under the rules of oil.
Parts cleaner
Contact cleaner
Brake fluid
Anti-freeze
Fire proof container to store chemical absorbed rags.

Your business must be insured.
Not only for you, but for a customer that gets hurt on your property.
If a biker gets hurt due to a repair you performed – you will get sued.

You should have insurance in case you damage a bike while in your possession – or if it should get stolen, you are responsible.
If you scratch a bike’s custom paint job – be repaired to shell out the money to have it repainted.

Just giving you a heads up as to what you are getting yourself into.

Depends if your house is rental or owned. If it is rented then you have to get the owner’s permission (most rental leases state that a residential property cannot be used for business purposes)

Also it depends on the zoning of your house and area. You can simply check with your council. If it is in a commercial zoning area (ie. other respectable businesses are operating in your street you should be fine. Once again check with your council.

    Good luck with the business

Usually houses are located in residential zones and commercial enterprise is forbidden. You would need to consult with City Hall to determine what zoning applies to your area.
