Can I register a California "Salvaged" Title in New Jersey?

February 12th, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

I just bought a car in California with a "Salvaged" title. The car was in an accident a few months back and has since been repaired and is registered in CA. My question is, I know in NJ when a car has been totaled you have to fix it and get a "Rebuilt" title before it can be street legal.

Will I have any problems registering this car in NJ??

No, you won’t have any problem
You will be able to register it in NJ just fine

One sure fire way to get the correct answer to your question would be contact a DMV office in New Jersey. If they cannot tell you the answer, no one can!! By contacting them you won’t have to wonder if what you are reading is correct or not and you won’t have to be running all around trying to find out the answer!!
