Does Windows XP have a registry utility or scan disk?

I’m trying to get DSL-Broadband on line and I’m having problems installing. Thanks.

go to start, in the run box type regedit to access the registry.

for scan disc go into my computer and right click on the disc you want to check and select "properties." Go to the tools tab and there should be a error checking section and a button that says "check now"

Neither of these should have anything to do with installing DSL however. And i don’t recomend you make any changes in the registry unless you are sure of what you are doing and then still back it up 1st.

now u can view your registry

just go to start >run > regidet

and u should get the registry window pop up, if thast what u want

but i dont think there is a scan utility to scan the registry

with XP, i know it comes with disk cleanup

    and disk defragmenter
