How do we write a letter to our landlord documenting things that need to be repaired?

January 25th, 2013 4 comments

our landlord has only fixed 2 things we have complained about.
our neighbor told us we should write a letter and send it certified mail to her, documenting everything that needs to be repaired asap.

for instance, the first week we were here we had no hot water, no heat. those things she fixed after we complained 3 times.

we have left her voice mails; we can never get ahold of her and she never responds to us.

So our neighbor said to write a letter to her.
How do we write it??

Very simple: say exactly what you just told us.

No hot water: turned water, on, waited 60 seconds, water still cold. Include picture of thermometer in water, hot tap turned to max

No heat: heater is on, turned to max, given time to warm up, 30 minutes later room temp is still at 65 F.

Please fix ASAP, dated ________, your tenants at unit _______.

Registered letter, return receipt.

How can I make my computer faster on startup?

December 27th, 2012 6 comments

Hi, my computer is incredibly slow on startup, I don’t know what to do anymore. There are not too many apps, I have no viruses, 50% free memory, I use Registry Easy and CCleaner daily but my computer still takes about 30 minutes after I open my session until it is ready to operate. Does someone know how to speed it up without adding RAM or Formatting my PC?

There are lots of problems which make your pc slow.
Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!
Spyware/Adware
RAM
De-Fragmenting
Etc.

Below can help you speed up your pc:

I. De-Fragmenting
1. Right click of C Disk.
2. Click properties.
3. Click tools tab.
4. Click "Defragment now".
5. Click Defragment.

II. You can search which process full use you cpu, and end the process.
Under steps:
1. Right click on the TaskBar.
2. Click the Task Manager.
3. Click the processes tab.
4. Double click the CPU.
5. Fnd if the "System Idle Process" is max.
6. If not right click and click end process.

III. Manage your startups. Your excess CPU usage is due to too many programs running in the background. You can cut these to barebones by alter your msconfig. Here is how:
1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen type "msconfig.exe"
4. In the "system configuration utility",click either "service" or "startup" tab
5. Uncheck all programs that your are no longer using.
6. Click "OK"

How much should it cost to repair a Vauxhall Corsa C windscreen wiper motor?

February 18th, 2011 2 comments

The first garage i took the car to quoted me £250?! surely that cant be right can it?. A timing chain i had replaced a few years ago only cost me £300 and that was 2 days work!

the car is a Vauxhall Corsa C X-reg 1.0

You should be able to buy a second hand one from a scrap yard for around a tenth of what you are being quoted for fitting a new one. You are being taken for a ride.

Windscreen wiper motors, if not buried somewhere where lots of other stuff has to be removed, are incredibly easy to swap out and replace. Should be 20 – 30 minutes work, maximum.
