Ive recently obtained a Ford Mondeo W Reg. When the car is left outside im getting Damp in the car, mainly across the rear seats. Also, The central Locking does not work. Only one door opens with the Key, i have no Fob..

How can these be repaired?

Water goes down not up unless the (laws of gravity changed overnight) so it will not be the sills, the door seals or tailgate seal could be leaking, the drain pipes for the sunroof may be blocked. If neither of them you need to find where the water is leaking in and fix it, that is the only way you will stop the damp.

You need a sparky to look at the central locking, could be a number of things.

I’d like to get hold of a ford Orion 1.6 ghia, preferably 1980-81 (A-B reg), spares or repairs, anything, I want to restore it. They seem like they’ve vanished off the face of the earth. Any idea’s anyone?

It’s a 1996 ‘M’ Reg Ford Escort 1.6i DOHC 16v (think it’s the zeetech) and i need to order a new set of plugs and H.T leads for it, All plugs have that code on them…Can anyone tell me which mine is please (I’d do it myself but do not have the tool for removing them!)

If you do not have the tool to remove them then how are you going to change them. And why change them, new ignitions let plugs work for 100k miles. Most good repair persons will first remove the plugs and inspect for wear, gray dust, oily residue. Each piston will tell the story of whats going on in your motor.

I just hit 100,000 miles on my 2003 Ford Focus. I’d like to get a new car, but this vehicle is still running very well. I haven’t had any major repairs with it either, mostly just maintenance. Does anyone know about how many miles a vehicle like this should last for? Thanks!

i just hit 19000 on my 2002 still running fine with just a new belt being changed but i also had oil changed at the reg intervals

How do I go around a fuel line quick connect on the fuel filter? Can’t get the o-rings and washer or new connect for my 92-f-150 4×4 5.0 efi. How do I run a reg. line to and from the filter?

Doorman and one other company makes the repair ends for the Ford fuel lines, I’ve used them myself.

We have electric windows on the two front seats, but back ones are manual. the drivers side window is jammed and cant be used. How much would it cost us roughly to change the electric windows to manual at the front?

I think it will cost too much to repair but it’s only got 42,000 miles on the clock so if someone could fix it they’d have a damn good car.

If it’s in generally good condition, then it would still be worth a good amount of money as for a mechanic it’s a cheap and easy fix. If you to it to a mechanic, then £300 would probably get you a new HG, so just go and get a couple of quotes as that’s far cheaper than a new car, and at least you know the history of your current car!

It depends on if you really blew it or if you just popped a seal, if you just poped a seal, then If you take it to a mechanic should only be around 100 bucks or less depending on what the mechanic charges by the hour. If its blown and no good anymore, the part must be replaced and would cost roughly $300+. Thats what it would be roughly on my ford explorer, not totally sure ont that car though

I know nobody works for nothing and it is a skilled repair that only a few people can do so obviously the guy is not going to work for the minimum wage … However I don’t want my eyes taken out for a repair on my car.
I have bought the wheel bearing kit from an auto-discount shop so I only need a price for the Labour.

Slacken wheel bolts.
Slacken driveshaft nut.
Jack up car.
Remove wheel.
Disconnect suspension, track rod end and wishbone.
Unscrew driveshaft nut.
Remove hub.
Hit or press out bearing and replace with new.
re assemble.
Takes about 2 hours max.
£60/£70

how much does it cost for a bumper repair on a 53 reg ford fiesta? is it cheeper to have repaired than buy a new one? if anyone has ideas of prices please include.It is a dint that has caused the bumper to have a very slight hole and slightly mishaped by the light. UK prices only please (north east England)
