Can you get a bigger hvac floor register without increasing size of boot?

February 8th, 2013 3 comments

My husband is very new with tile work and renovations. He cut the hole too big in the tile for the floor register and now it looks like crap. Is there a way to get a bigger vent to cover the hole without replacing the entire boot?

Pop the affected tiles out, repair the overcut in the subfloor (if any), install new tile and cut the hole again. Do the job right. Just because it’s tile doesn’t mean it cannot be repaired.

Register size is pretty much defined by the boot size, but not exclusively. You could look at Home Depot for a larger size, but I strongly recommend you make the correct repair instead of bandaging the mistake.

im changing the brakes on my car and need help?

January 10th, 2013 2 comments

can i get step by step instructions to change the brakes on an ‘s’reg hyundai accent.i can’t get the flange to come off no matter what i do.ive changed dozens of brakes before but these are proving a real nightmare.any suggestions?

the best idea on this one would be to get a Haynes repair manual on that car,it will cover all the basics on doing that ,they cost around 15 bucks but their worth that and more, and they also have real good pics of doing the job also,i use them around the shop because of the info they have in them,it helps a lot to know whats ahead of you on a job like this, good luck with it.

Can I sue my supermarket without getting my employment teminated?

December 23rd, 2012 6 comments

Correcting a parking offender for not stopping within the obligatory white delineatory indicators she threatened to strike me and I invited her so do do as it would be recorded on CCTV so she did but it wasn’t switched as repairs were being afford to the system at the precise moment of the blow to my eye/ear which has now gone down and therefore impossible to call as a witness. I do have part of her registration number should she re-appear underground.

Can I sue you for stupidity? If you told me to hit you, I would too. But that isn’t even the end of it.

#1–why the fuck is this posted in the BMW section?

#2–you were invoking the offender…in some places, that automaticly throws your suit out of court.

#3–why the fuck is this posted in the BMW section?

#4–supermarket parking lots are most times private property, so the "obligatory" white indicators are not backed by law…just by the supermarket.

#5–she should have hit you in the jaw and broke it so bad that it needed to be wired shut so by the time you could talk, it was too late.

#6–part of her reg # won’t do you any good. you would need the whole thing.

#7–it would not be advised to sue the supermarket as you will not win because the supermarket didn’t hit you. The lady did. If she worked for the supermarket, then maybe you would have a case.

#8–if you work at that supermarket, they should terminate you anyways on grounds of mental retardation/inability to think logicly.

It sounds like you are a disgruntled parking maid/bitch. You take your job too seriously, and need to cool off a bit. No one likes an overbearing parking whore.

By the way, I dare you to put a flyer on my windscreen. I will cut you up bitch. People don’t like other people touching thier cars.

I hope this helps!

How do I put a total loss car back on the road?

December 5th, 2012 2 comments

My M reg granada was recently written off because of a dent in the wing and a crack in the bumper, thanks to an idiot reversing into me at a junction….. I retained the salvage and was wondering what I have to do to get it back on the road?
p.s, it was a cat D write off for uneconomical repair, nothing dangerous.

If the salvage is owned by you (i.e not the insurance company) then all you have to do is get the damage repaired – a dent in the wing and a cracked bumper is not a big job for a garage (chassis damage would be an instant write off). Firstly register your car as ‘off the road’ i.e you do not have to pay the car tax, secondly recover any remaining car tax on the car (contact the DVLA – information about doing this is on the back of the disc), thirdly park your car off road or at the garage that will be doing the repairs. Personally I wouldn’t bother with the wing damage unless it has affected the electrics. Then get the garage that has done the repairs to give the car an MOT, contact the DVLA with the MOT certificate and they will either (usually the case) re-issue your registration or issue another one. Re-tax the car (main post offices can supply a form to do this). And last, but not least, pursue the prat that damaged your car. Many insurance companies give DAS as standard on their policies and they will do most of the work for you. Hope this helps – a git hit my car and drove off (I was fully comprehensive and DAS sorted the majority out but I still lost a lot of my no claims discount). Good luck !

Can I find a totally free of charge registry cleaner?

November 20th, 2012 6 comments

I’ve found registry cleaners that are free until they scan your system, then they want to charge you before they get the job done… Right now I don’t have my plastic money with me, and I need to do a registry cleaning as of yesterday. Please help!

I recommend CCleaner. It not only cleans junk files from your PC, but it also cleans the registry. It also has an uninstaller utility. It’s a pretty useful to program to have.

You can save backups of your registry with CCleaner as well.

should I use a registry clearner on my computer?

September 27th, 2012 6 comments

I use ARO, a utility that cleans my computer’s registry. A network administrator I know said it shouldn’t be used. What do you think? It does a great job getting my older computer up and running.

Don’t use it. More often than not causes more problems, and very rarely improves anything.

Why Do We Need a Registry Cleaner?

February 9th, 2011 4 comments

Experiencing a Slow Boot up for your PC? Have windows registry errors that need some repair? Not a trouble there are numerous software titles available to fix just those issues. The problem is actually more to do with choosing which one of these programs will do the best job for you. Locating a good registry cleaner
in the mass of middle of the road programs can take some time, and you want to be sure you get the right program the first time. Hence this article, I’m going to go over what you need to know and look for before you spend a dime on registry repair.

Perfect Optimizer are a Must

All good registry cleaners likely have a free trial option. Most time this free trial consists of a free scan of your registry system. This does two things, one it helps you determine if indeed you have registry related troubles, and the other one it helps the companies because if their programs do what they promise to do , then you’re more likely to buy it. Are you looking for a product that offers a free trial that you can test before you have to buy something?Perfect Optimizer is just the one.

Know that you can Create a Backup

Most review sites and articles don’t often discuss how important this fact is, but always get a registry repair program that offers a backup utility. Backing up your current registry troubles ensures that you have a way to undo any changes that the software makes .But you’re not happy with it. Using a program without a backup feature, or not knowing how to create the backup yourself in windows is a dangerous situation that maybe happen in the future.

Perfect Optimizer:Auto or Manual Repairing

Being able to manually review the items the software finds after the scan is a nice feature for those that are a bit beyond a beginner level. For those of us that don’t feel comfortable with any of this and just want our computers to work better now, we just opt for the auto repair features that most programs have. For those that want that extra bit of hands in control, they look for a cleaner with a manual repair option.

Perfect Optimizer:Get a better Guarantee

This is a very big point to consider before you spend much money on a registry cleaner. Most software products, especially those that have big claims of speeding up the performance of your PC have some sort of guarantees. Look for a good registry cleaner that has a money back guarantee of at least 30 days. This ensures that if you’re not happy with the performance you can always request your money back.

Perfect Optimizer:Use Product Reviews to Decide

So you know what you need to look for now. It’s time to head out and do your home work. The best way to get this done in a hurry from my experience is to use registry cleaner review sites to read articles about each cleaner, as well as cross compare the features of each product in detail.

Begin your research now by reading our registry cleaner review site. And save time and get started with our top registry cleaner.

Registry Mechanic 6 or System Mechanic 7? Which one or are both of them good to have on your computer?

January 28th, 2011 2 comments

I already have Registry Mechanic 6 installed on my Compaq Presario 5320US and I have found it very helpful at times. However, I see an excellent deal for the System Mechanic 7 at a major retail store and I just want to know if having both software installed would be a redundant or unwise choice to make. I am considering these software choices because of their beneficial system maintenance utilities.

Registry Mechanic takes utmost care of your registry, but System Mechanic looks after your ENTIRE computer (including registry issues). System Mechanic’s registry cleaning may not be that efficient, but it does most of the job anyway. You better get System Mechanic.
