After two years of waiting for action/some result regarding a blatant case of deception by a garage for not following the terms of a written contract regarding a repair (including airbag & steering systems) I have been told too much time has passed despite having contacted them within days of discovering the true state of the vehicle. i have to go higher than local area as they will try to fob me off with some excuse and I have been around the block too often for that!
A good question – Quis custodiet ipsos custodes (who will guard the guards)?
TS are not reviewable save by Judicial Review. The JR (which is a High Court remedy) will consider whether the actions taken were within the bounds of their wide discretion, or not. It’s not a simple process and you’d need legal representation.
A slower and more usekess alternative is the Local Govt Ombudsman
Surely your easiest route would be via the Small claims procedure (against the garage) in your local court?

My earphone jack is broken, has been for a while, but my microphone jack is completely fine.
A while back, I once plugged a pair of headphones that also had a microphone into a computer. I found the microphone came out much clearer when I switched them round (microphone into earphone jack, and vice versa) and it registered instantly on my computer.
The computer can’t tell the difference between a microphone and an earphone, but one is an input socket and the other an output socket. The microphone circuit may be able to amplify sound from headphones because speakers and microphones are similar devices, but you can’t just plug headphones in the microphone socket and hope the microphone circuit will magically change into an amplifier. You need to get the computer repaired, it may be a broken earphone socket or something else may be wrong.
Getting a good deal on an older car but its rejected for have no converters on the exhaust. No big deal to me as i can put them in asap but can I register the car this way?
Its a 94 mustang GT if that helps.
If I remember right I believe that you can get it resistered and then you have 30 to 45 days to get the car repairs done. I dont remember but there are different inspection codes for older cars. The best way for you to really know is call your local dmv and they will be able to answer the question for you.
I hope this helps you out some. But like I said call and ask because they change the law so many times you if you live there then you would know how much they change the law all the time.

I bought a salvaged car earlier this year without a title. I have repaired it and it is now in good shape but I do not have the title to the car. Is there anything I can do to get the car legally on the road in State of Maryland?
Without a title you don’t own the car…. meaning you don’t register.

I operate as a sole proprietorship. What types of things can I write off as deductions on my taxes for my computer repair business? Also how should I keep and organize all my reciepts/records.
You can probably deduct anything involving computers, books about computers, potentially gas money/car money.
Also, I’d recommend you swapping your business to an LLC. Since you work in the computer repair field, if you were to break something further, you could easily be held personally liable. But if you were an LLC, then your business would be held liable and not you. It only takes a little extra paperwork and almost no money to register as an LLC; but if your ever on the wrong end of a lawsuit, you’ll be glad!

What i have done do far is register the device on xbox.com. Am i waiting for an email?
i have not yet received an email from them? i have registered it for sending off.
Did you register to have it fixed? Or just associate it with your name via xbox.com?
In the support center, there should be a link for sending it off. You fill out a form and they ask if you want them to send you a box or if you’ll pack it yourself. Either way, you’re sent a shipping label via email. You affix this to the front of the package your xbox is being shipped in. Make sure to put lots of newspaper or packing peanuts or whatever it is you’ll use to cushion your device. Then you drop it off at UPS and wait for it to come back.

I would like to register my vehicle in a state which doesn’t require emissions testing since I can’t get it to pass in my home state. It is a Honda Civic, not a highly polluting car, with a recurring check-engine light problem that I am tired of paying mechanics who can’t fix it permanently. I would gladly pay to register it elsewhere so I don’t have to deal with this every year only for the problem to return.
Please be aware that there is a waiver you can obtain for the emissions test. If you can’t get it to pass, you have to spend a certain amount of money to try to fix the problem (it’s 500 dollars in my state, I think). Once you’ve spent that amount of money to bring it up to speed (keep your receipts as proof), you won’t have to pass the emissions test that year anymore, even if the repairs were unsuccessful.
In my state we have to test every 4 years, so you’d have to spend 500 bucks every 4 years to try to get your car in line with current emissions standards. After that, I don’t have to worry anymore.

I would like to get enough money to rent a small shop with a workbench and such, and pay licensing fees on a remote administration software program so I can brand the software I use to remotely fix computers. Also I need funding for government fees to register an LLC in the state of Pennsylvania. I guess $5,000 should cover the start-up costs. Any suggestions?
First step is developing a comprehensive business plan that will highlight your business, marketing, operational and marketing plan that will show whether your venture is likely to succeed or not

I don’t know much about PCs. A friend of mine has XP AntiMalware on her computer, and short of taking it in to a repair shop, is there a way to get rid of it? There are a lot of sites out there that claim its malware, but each of those sites asks you to register with them and download something. I’m very suspicious that you end up downloading something else malicious.
1. Click Start->Run (or WinKey+R). Input: “command”. Press Enter or click OK.
2. Type “notepad” as shown in the image below and press Enter. Notepad will open.
3. Copy and past the following text into Notepad:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[-HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.e…
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClassessecf…
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTsecfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.exeshellopencomman…
@=””%1? %*”[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.exe]
@=”exefile”
“Content Type”=”application/x-msdownload”
4. Save file as “exefix.reg” (without quotation-marks) to your Desktop.
NOTE: choose Save as type: All files
5. Double-click to open exefix.reg. Click “Yes” for Registry Editor prompt window.
6. Download an anti-spyware like Spyware Doctor, update it and run a full system scan.

It has CD title, just needs cosmetic repair no frame damage
Want to repair and register in Texas, bike needs cosmetic repair only, no frame damage.
CD title in state of Flordia is a certificate of destruction.
You may be able to after repairs and state inspection. But you’ll never get a clean title (unless the inspector is asleep at the wheel). Your FL title must be presented to the TX inspector.
